The inaugural ACM Symposium on Computer Science and Law will be held in New York City on October 28, 2019. The symposium organizers wish to thank the sponsors for their generous contributions toward, among other things, funding for student attendance.

Students should use this form to apply for funding to attend the symposium. To be considered for this funding, you must be a student who is enrolled in a degree program or expects to be enrolled at the time the symposium takes place. All students who wish to attend may apply for funding regardless of whether they have entered the student-paper competition. At least one author of each winning paper will be offered funding to attend. All other students, regardless of whether or not they have participated in or won the competition, will also be considered and may be offered funding if they complete and submit the application form. The number of students offered travel stipends will depend on the Symposium budget.

Students from all countries are eligible for consideration. The form asks you to specify your citizenship because one of our student-funding sources has citizenship restrictions, but not all sources have these restrictions.

The application deadline is September 8, 2019 at 23:59 EDT. You will be notified on September 22, 2019 at 23:59 EDT about whether you have been chosen to receive funding and, if so, how much.

Note that you must also obtain a letter of recommendation from your academic adviser or from another faculty member at your college or university who is familiar with your work. It is due on September 8, 2019 at 23:59 EDT, and your application will not be complete until it is received.  Your recommender should use this form to submit the letter.
